Traditional Chinese food is one of the oldest in history, but its popularity has grown a lot in recent decades and there are many recipes for children to discover this rich gastronomy.

Sweet and sour pork is one of the most typical dishes of Chinese gastronomy, its peculiar flavor will delight children and it is a good alternative to add vegetables to a dish without protesting, thanks to the taste of its spectacular sauce.

  • 300 gr. pork
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 125 gr. of sugar
  • 125 ml. sherry vinegar
  • 200 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Salt and oil

1. Wash the vegetables and cut the onion, red pepper and green pepper into thin strips. Cut the pork into pieces of about 5 centimeters.

2. In a saucepan, mix the ingredients for the sauce: heat the vinegar with the sugar and tomato sauce, add a dash of lemon and the crushed garlic clove. Boil a few minutes to thicken (if it is too liquid, add a little cornstarch dissolved in water).

3. In a frying pan, heat a little oil over heat. Fry the pork until golden brown, halfway through add the vegetables and fry in the same oil until tender.

4. Serve the pork and sprinkle it with the salt. Bon Appetite!
